Artist: Briana Babineaux (Bri)

Album: Keys To My Heart

Label: Marquis Boone Ent/Tyscot Records

Newcomer Briana Babineaux, affectionately known as Bri proves on her debut that she is more than just a pretty face. Bri is a social media sensation who burst onto computer screens across the globe with her raw interpretations of Gospel cover songs, garnering millions of fans in the process. In just a little over a year Bri has made quite a name for herself, releasing an EP, a top hit single “I’ll Be The One” and landing on the cover of this very magazine. Her full length debut “Keys To My Heart” is a strong debut from the Lafayette, Louisiana native.

The Marquis Boone Enterprises/Tyscot debut begins with beautiful “Heaven Must Be Like This,” showcasing her amazing vocal ability and impressive range. On the CCM driven “Run Over,” Babineaux shines bright as she gives herself away to the Lord; every inch of her soul to be exact. Her love for acoustic guitar is evident on songs like “My Everything” and the dramatic “Jacob’s Song.” At the tender age of 21, Briana Babineaux realizes the importance of relating to her generation musically and she did just that on the infectious “Love You Forever” written by Uncle Reece, TedyP and Korey Bowie. However, Babineaux doesn’t stay in that Hip- Hop space long, as worship is where she shines most bright on songs like “Grace,” “Lord of All,” and “Holy Spirit.”

Bri’s debut ends with powerhouse vocalist Sha Simpson on “I’m Desperate” and although #Brination has been desperately awaiting the arrival of Briana Babineaux’s debut project, and not only is the wait finally over, it is worth it!

Briana Babineaux lands the cover of Root Magazine in the March/April 2016 Edition.
