Dick Clark Dead at 82
April 18, 2012
Dick Clark, TV mogul and producer whose “American Bandstand” and “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” helped shape modern pop music for decades, has died of a “massive heart attack” at a Los Angeles hospital on Wednesday (April 18). He was 82.
Dick Clark paved the way for TV personalities like Ryan Seacrest and others and was also the creator of the American Music Awards. He will be sorely missed.
