NOT ANOTHER CHILD RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AND COMMUNITY CELEBRATION ENCLOSED COMMUNITY ACTIVISTS, ORGANIZERS, INFLUENCERS AND MORE
EAST HARLEM OFFICE WILL A BE HUB FOR AT PROMISE YOUTH, THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT AND MORE
(NEW YORK, NY) – NOVEMBER 21, 2022 – On Saturday, November 12th, Not Another Child, Inc turned the East Harlem neighborhood of 108th street into a bonafide block party, as the ribbon cutting ceremony for their first office was indeed a party with a purpose. With an unusually warm 75 degree November afternoon as the backdrop, the day could not have been more picture perfect. “Last week the police department asked me if I had a rain date because the forecast showed heavy rain on the day of our event, and I told them I did not have a rain date because I prayed and asked God to remove the rain and give us sunshine and he did,” says Oresa Napper-Williams, founder of Not Another Child, Inc.
The day consisted of fun, food, entertainment, appearances and speeches from influential speakers from all across the country such as: Dr Chico Tillmon, Executive Director of Heartland Alliance (Chicago) & leader of FP BBPC, AT Mitchell, NYC Gun Violence Czar and Founder of Man Up USA, Erica Ford, GV Advocate & Co-Founder and Ed Life Camp, Filmmaker, Samson Styles, Shanduke McPhatter (Gangstas Making Astronomical Community Change), CoCo Purvis (Both Sides of the Violence), Omar Jackson SAVE/GOSO and Jackie Rowe Adams (Harlem Mothers Save)
Hundreds of attendees from the community also enjoyed games like the high striker and bounce houses, in addition to massage stations, ethnic foods and delectable desserts.
Hosted by the hilariously funny Smokey Suarez with performances by the Brooklyn Gatorettes, Shana and more, Not Another Child’s Block Party and Community Celebration was a breath of fresh air for a community where crime is on the rise.

“I see so many people that I love dearly here today and the only time that this usually happens is at funerals and I am grateful that I am alive and that God has spared me for this moment,” said Napper-Williams.
Grammy® winning artist and Napper-Williams’ pastor, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, sanctioned the event with a powerful prayer as a prelude to the official ribbon cutting, which was met with cheers and emotional tears of joy.
One of the highlights came upon entering the facility when over a dozen mother’s witnessed for the very first time (Oresa Napper – Williams included), a 12 x 12 mural of their fallen children, as it adorned the wall of Not Another Child’s inaugural facility located at 310 E. 108th Street; a first of many.

About Not Another Child, Inc
Not Another Child, Inc.was established in 2006 after the senseless killing of Andrell Daron Napper; a victim of a stray bullet that came from a gun being held by a 15 year old. Not wanting his death to be in vain, Andrell’s mother, Oresa Napper-Wil liams, and brother, Justin Napper, knew that despite this tragedy, something had to be done to positively change and influence the lives of other families. Therefore, through their loss, Not Another Child was birthed. They created the not for profit with the purpose of helping inner-city families who are directly impacted by violence.
