Home Featured Content Marvin Sapp Dating Imani from Basketball Wives? True or False?

March 3, 2012

Contrary to numerous reports, Basketball Wives LA star Imani Showalter is not dating Gospel recording artist and pastor Marvin Sapp. Showalter cleared up the rumors Friday, claiming people should not believe anything that they hear.

“Rule to live by: Believe half of what you see and NONE of what you hear…,” Showalter said following reports claiming she and the “Never Would Have Made It” singer have been dating since October.

In a Hip Hollywood story, a source claiming to be close to Sapp said the two met and exchanged information at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Sapp was in town to judge the Gospel competition, “How Sweet The Sound”.

The source claims “The two exchanged information and immediately started corresponding after the show. A week or so later Marvin flew her to Grand Rapids to visit him and so she could experience his church,” the source reported. “They’ve been spending quite a bit of time together. They’re definitely falling in love and I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up getting married.”

Sources also say that the two were together at this years taping of the Stellar Awards but I was there and I did not see or hear of Imani being there so I don’t know about this story.

Showalter has continued to deny the rumors and say that she is dating but the person she is dating is a football player.

Even if Pastor Sapp was dating Imani or anyone else, do you think it is too soon after his wife’s passing? What do you guys think?

  1. If the dude wants to “date”, he can date…..as long as he is healed and fine w/ it, who are we to judge?! MYOB America & “Saints”

  2. When a man wife dies, they don’t grieve as long as we women do. Looking at her picture in the swim suit, I think as big a pastor as he is, he should be more selective in the women he choose to date and let his kids meet/or hear about. As far as dating, I think he should, but just be careful.
