New Covenant Church of Philadelphia within the past year has newly appointed Rev. Bob Oliver as their Executive Pastor. Since his installation as pastor, it has been his and the churches mission to develop relationships outside the grounds of New Covenant. Founded in 1982, NCCOP had a plan and a direction on how they wanted to impact The City of Philadelphia. Built on the scripture;Isaiah 43:10, “Behold I will do a new thing, saith the Lord, and shall spring forth speedily”. This new community center makes it accessible for all of the churches ministries to be housed in one location and will provide a safe place for people to come and be a part of various programming such as,S.T.E.M programming, community services, educational youth development and more. The center will also be available for other partnering organizations to utilize. The community center is scheduled to open mid-September.

“We are thrilled to see the completion of the Children, Youth & Family Center. We believe that this center will not only better equip us in providing Christian Education to our members, we also believe it offers a vehicle for greater community involvement by providing an extraordinary space for learning, fun, and a nurturing environment for children, youth and families in our community. We are excited about the partnerships we are developing that will aid us in achieving these goals, and look forward to establishing this site as an ‘Institutional Anchor’ in the Mt. Airy community, as we seek out opportunities to leverage this space for community needs.” said Sam Grannum, NCCOP’s Chief Operating Officer.
