Edwin Hawkins Dead at 74

Edwin Hawkins, the composer of one of the most popular and covered gospel songs in history, “Oh Happy Day,” has died at the age of 74.

According to a post from a family spokesperson late last week, Hawkins had been experiencing several health challenges and they asked that the general public prays for the legend.
