DETAILS:

Bishop Donald Hilliard Jr. of Cathedral International, which is located in Plainfield, Perth Amboy and Asbury Park will present the inaugural educational fundraiser and theatrical performance in support of the foundation that he created to honor the legacy of his parents, Donald Hillard and Alease Hillard Chapman, who loved and adored children and fervently believed in their potential, especially if afforded some educational opportunity.

This invitation-only event, which will take place on the birthday of the Bishop’s late mother, as well as the final day of Black History Month, will help fund a critical need, and assist low income families in sending their pre-school aged children to quality pre-school and Head Start programs, by providing them with scholarships, as well as funding parent mentoring programs and providing a limited number of scholarships to college-bound low income students.

The evening will feature a one-woman theatrical performance by actress Leah Joy, and will be emceed by John Gray.

A visionary on several levels, Bishop Hilliard will present a Foundation event annually, in order to further the ideals instilled in him by his loving parents.  His dreams and goals portend to provide a brighter future for many generations to come.
