Root is named “Official” journal of 44th Annual GMWA

Root Magazine, “Your source to the gospel music vibe..and beyond” announced today that Root will be the official journal for the 44th annual GMWA conference in Tampa, Florida.

The GMWA issue of Root will include a special cover story on Light Records artists: Ricky Dillard, Jessica Reedy, Dawkins & Dawkins, Dorinda Clark- Cole & JJ Hairston entitled “Let There Be Light”. Also, we take a deep look at the Black Church through Blue Eyes with rising gospel star, Wess Morgan and powerful pastor & world renowned evangelist, Sheryl Brady, as they both discuss their experiences of being caucasian with a large African American audience and congregation.

Founded in 1967 by Rev. James Cleveland, the Gospel Music Workshop of America is an annual convention bringing together people who love gospel music from America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean including a wide range of many faiths. With a membership of thousands, the meeting is a week long gathering including academic classes, evangelism and outreach, nightly music services, showcases, radio and television executives and promoters, exhibits and seminars.
