It’s Showtime at The Apollo Is Coming Back With Host Steve Harvey

If are anything like me, you grew up watching “Its Showtime at the Apollo” every Saturday night at 1:00AM (which was technically Sunday morning). Well, the popular show is returning to television with a two-hour  special on Fox taking place on December 5, 2016. The reboot of the long-running syndicated variety show will be hosted by none other than one of the show’s most popular hosts, Steve Harvey. The comedian, who will be joined in the special by other comedians and musical performers, has a personal connection to the Apollo, as he launched his career there in the early 90’s. Harvey will also host a second, one-hour Showtime At The Apollo special to air on Fox in early 2017.

Many notables such as The Jackson 5, James Brown, Lauryn Hill, Jazmine Sullivan, Moms Mabley, Stevie Wonder and many more, all got their start at the world famous Apollo Theater!
