Powerhouse Psalmist Bishop Kervy Brown Releases New Single “Our God Reigns”

DANVILLE, VA (APRIL 8, 2022) – Bishop Kervy Brown releases a new single just in time for Holy Week. Our God Reigns is a song of declaration that showcases one of gospel music’s most under-rated and ferocious voices. Written by emerging songwriter Christopher Simms and produced by Chris Adams, Our God Reigns is indeed a praise and worship juggernaut. 

Best known for his soulful voice on songs like “Make It to That City” and “The Lord Will Make a Way Somehow,” Bishop Kervy Brown is what one would call a “Singers Singer.” Hailing from the Bronx, New York, Brown notes his mother Mary Brown as his first musical mentor. In the early 1980’s, Brown would get his start with The Bronx Mass Choir, but the year 1985 would change the course of his life forever, as he became a founding member and principal singer for Grammy® winning Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Choir. 

Brown’s undeniable tenor can be heard on a myriad of songs over a three decade time span. Songs like: Great Day (Focus on Glory), Any Way You Bless Me (Live in Toronto), and Lord Do It (Love is Live), have all made Kervy Brown a household name and have become an essential contribution to Hezekiah Walker’s extensive musical catalog, with the latter being Grammy® award winning song. 

In addition to being a sought after psalmist, Brown is also an anointed preacher of the gospel who has been preaching since the age of 13.  In September of 2009, Bishop Kervy Brown was called to serve as the pastor of Greater Deliverance Temple in Danville, VA under the late leadership of Bishop Roger L. Jackson and in 2018 was ordained and elevated to the office of Bishop under the covering and leadership of Bishop Hezekiah X. Walker. 

Bishop Kervy Brown currently serves the Pentecostal Churches of Jesus Christ organization as their Southern State Alliance Bishop, overseeing churches in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
