| Hasan James Heads To Radio March 16, 2015 (Trenton, NJ) – Root Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief, Hasan James, embarks on new chapter as an on-air personality on WIMG AM 1300 in Trenton, NJ. James can be heard weekdays from 2PM – 6PM in a segment called “The Root Box.””The Root Box” is an extension of James’ print and on line outlet Root Magazine. The radio show will feature artists interviews, Gospel’s most popular songs and news from around the industry. People outside of the area can listen to “The Root Box,” and WIMG 1300 on the Tune In Radio App on all iPhones and androids. WIMG 1300 is an emerging local station and a 2014 Stellar Award winning station for Radio Station of the Year- Small Market.
“I am so ecstatic about this new chapter. Being on the radio has been on my vision board for over a year and I am in awe of how God quickly opened this door,” said James. “I look forward to further expanding the Root Magazine brand through my love of gospel music.”
James is a gospel-industry stalwart who created and successfully launched Root Magazine in 2009. The publication is now a leading print and online magazine that covers all aspects of the Gospel music industry. The magazine has profiled the top artists in the genre and among those who have graced the Root Magazine cover include Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker Erica Campbell and most recently Israel Houghton.
