Leading Label Continues To Raise Bar With Impactful Projects From Top Sellers

October 24, 2017 (Nashville, TN) — Premiere gospel label Motown Gospel dominates Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums Chart this week, with its newest releases holding the #1 and #2 positions.
Tye Tribbett’s exciting new album, THE BLOODY WIN, debuts at #1, marking his second consecutive number one album, while Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s historic HEART. PASSION. PURSUIT. holds the #2 spot on the chart, which combines sales and streaming numbers each week. Both Tribbett and Cobbs Leonard continue to break barriers with their impressive crossover appeal and music that connects the masses.

Motown Gospel also had a notable showing at the 48th Annual Dove Awards last week. Cobbs Leonard co-hosted the program with Kari Jobe, and performed the beautiful worship single, “Gracefully Broken,” with Matt Redman to rave reviews. In addition, popular singer, VaShawn Mitchell won his first Dove Award as an artist for the hit single, “Joy,”from the #1 album SECRET PLACE: Live In South Africa. Mitchell previously won two Dove Awards as producer of Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s freshman album GRACE.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Motown Gospel is already planning a solid year of new releases in 2018, including the highly-anticipated new album from GRAMMY®-nominated recording artist Brian Courtney Wilson and the Motown Gospel debut of popular singer Lexi.
