Violator Founder, Chris Lighty, Dead of Apparent Suicide

The Hip-Hop world is mourning the loss of one of the premier managers and executives in the game, Chris Lighty.

According to the New York Daily News, Hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty died Thursday morning after apparently shooting himself in the head in his Bronx apartment, Law enforcement sources said Lighty — who divorced his wife, Veronica, last year — may have been dealing with financial struggles, including owing about $5 million to the IRS.

Lighty was the current manager for Sean “Diddy” Combs and over the years has managed the likes of Mariah Carey, Ja Rule, Miss Elliot, Swizz Beats, Diggy Simmons, Fat Joe and others.

His last tweet was two days ago and read: “Life is about perspective. It’s not what you see, but how you see it. What you see is what you get.”
