Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant is the dynamic Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia. Known for his visionary leadership and influential political activism, Dr. Bryant previously served as the National Youth and College Director of the NAACP, guiding 70,000 young people worldwide in non-violent campaigns. Dr. Bryant’s work exemplifies the balance of spiritual gifts and practical educational experiences, making him a prominent figure in both the church and the community.
WHAT: The primary objective of this event is to launch a 40-day economic FAST
against Target. Dr. Bryant is calling on African Americans to stop shopping at the retailer and divest from its stock holdings. This initiative, which begins on March 3 and will conclude on April 19, 2025, is a direct response to Target’s decision to eliminate its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitments, a move that threatens economic opportunities, mentorships, and hiring initiatives for Black professionals and businesses.
