Radio One’s Elroy Smith Resigns as Program Director

AllAcess.com has confirmed that RADIO ONE DIR./Inspirational Programming and PHILADELPHIA OM ELROY SMITH has made his exit.

SMITH had only good things to say about his time at RADIO ONE, telling ALL ACCESS, “It has been one of the best experiences of my career.  I learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from JAY STEVENS.  I also want to thank BARRY MAYO, ALFRED LIGGINS, CATHY HUGHES, CHRIS WEGMAN, BRUCE DEMS, newly appointed PHILADELPHIA GM/VP SHAWNEEN THOMPSON, all of my RADIO ONE/PHILADELPHIA cohorts and those throughout the company.  Oh, and I don’t want to forget to thank DAVID KANTOR and GARY BERNSTEIN of REACH MEDIA.”

“This will go down in the history of my life as a wonderful journey,” added SMITH. “I am leaving in celebration, feeling victorious and waiting for God’s next blessing in my radio journey.”
