When you meet her she’s very humble and meek. Her presence in a room immediately demands an explanation. The love of GOD in her heart comes through her smile, and you instantly know she lives what she sings. As she opens up her mouth to sing, the chains are literally broken.  EMI Gospel introduces Tasha Cobbs first national release, “Grace”.

Recorded LIVE at Northview Christian Center, “Grace” embodies power, passion, and authentic praise and worship. Cobbs doesn’t’ hold back, going deeper as the album flows smoothly. Prior to the album release, Cobbs lead single “Break Every Chain”, already created a major buzz in the Gospel industry. Her performance of the single at Bishop T.D. Jakes 2012 Woman Thou Art Loosed conference gave the world a taste of what was to be experienced on this album.

On this offering,  Tasha Cobbs teams up with label mate and friend, VaShawn Mitchell- who produced eight solid tracks of encouragement of God’s love. Cobbs explained that she attended a service where Pastor Hart Ramsey of Alabama preached on God’s Grace and how much he loves his people. Tasha says “It was there in that service where I began to write songs for the album and immediately knew which direction to go in.”

The music and vocal production is like no other. Cobbs brings in vocal producer Rachel James to produce the pitch perfect, clear, sound. Musicians James R. Barrett, Vaughn Phoenix, Rick Watford, Trent Philips, Anton Nesbitt, and Christopher House take Tasha’s sound to another level, digging deep and bringing the music to life.  This is one album that you might not want to listen to while driving because you may end up speeding.  The record kicks off with “Get Up” and Cobbs immediately takes no prisoners. Her sincere, yet strong tone set the stage for a powerful time of worship.  She also brought back fan favorites like “Happy” and “Smile” , from her first independent release to this album, with a slightly new arrangement but remain true to their original versions. Perhaps the most anticipated song will be the extended version of “Break Every Chain”. The eight minute track features Timiney Figueroa- Caton and will leave your heart changed and empowered. “Grace” will definitely be one of the most loved albums of 2013 and more than likely a candidate for numerous awards and accolades for its excellence in music.
