(New York, NY – November 19, 2012) – The much talked about, 18 year old singing sensation, Joshua Rogers, is set to release his debut EP, Well DoneTuesday, December 4th. The young artist is newly signed to Music World Gospel and the winner of this season’s BET Sunday Best reality singing competition. Rogers made history with his win as both the youngest winner of the singing competition and the first male to take on the Sunday Best title.
The release of Well Done marks the singer’s first recorded body of work. The album features seven of Rogers’ most talked about and best remembered musical renditions on the show including “God in Me,” “We Expect You,” “I’m Still Standing,” and more. The Greeleyville, SC native showcases his vocal prowess and the unique style that can only be attributed to him, on each song. From contemporary to traditional and everything in between, Rogers makes each song his own. The energy behind the fan favorite performance, “God in Me” is infectious; the passion behind the delivery of “We Expect You” draws the listener into careful consideration of the message of the song from the beginning, then moving into a traditional rendition with full choir and Rogers on lead; “Rain On Us” showcases the young vocalist giving a commanding rendition of the popular gospel ballad. The album continues to highlight Rogersdiversity with “I’m Still Standing” opening up with a down home church intro backed with piano and organ before speeding up and transforming into a mid-tempo groove backed with a choir; Rogers then reminds listeners of his ability to bring out the youthfulness in all with his joyous version of “In The Middle.”The album is rounded out with a beautifully pensive version of “Peace Be Still” and the pulsating title track mixed with a gospel/light rock feel on “Well Done.”
