Jay Z Tops Grammy Nominations With Nine Nods

The nominees for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards was announced today complete with a lot of energy and great performances by nominees and past winners like Miguel, Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, Lorde and more.

Brooklyn born rapper Jay Z had a huge year, so it’s no surprise that he leads the pack with a whopping nine nominations.

In the Gospel category, Tye Tribbett leads the pack with three nominations in the  Best Gospel Song category for “If He Did It Before…Same God”, Best Gospel/Christian Contemporary Performance category for “If He Did It Before…Same God” and Best Gospel Album category for “Greater Than.”
