COMES BACK TO “THE QUEEN CITY”

Gospel Music’s Annual Conference Taking Place July 21th– 25th, 2013

Featuring Nightly Musicals, Daily Worship Services & Great Gospel Music All Week Long

 

 

New York, NY (July 17th, 2013) – The Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) will make its triumphant and glorious return back to Cincinnati, OH for the biggest week in gospel music, as the convention returns to the mid-west after last year’s successful convention in Nashville, TN.

 

The biggest Gospel music convention brings its celebration of all things Gospel with a new line up of amazing concerts, showcases and speakers to “The Queen City” on July 21st- 25th at the Duke Energy Convention Center, located at 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

With membership in the thousands which includes radio announcers, artists, promoters, independent companies, label executives, bloggers and fans, this year’s GMWA will incorporate academic classes, evangelism and outreach, daily church services, nightly musicals and showcases.

 

GMWA will bring world-renowned ministers, speakers and artists to Cincinnati, OH for the Sunday Holy Consecration service with Bishop J. Drew Sheard, and from Monday through Thursday, the early morning “Daily Bread” ministry services will feature spirit filled speakers; Bishop Neal Roberson, Bishop Rance Allen, Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III and Dr. Jamal H. Bryant.

 

The week- long festivities will kick off with the 2013 community initiative “GMWA Serves” to help support local residents of the community in the surrounding Cincinnati area. There will be various foot stomping “Midnight Musicals” featuring some of today’s popular gospel artists including:  John P. Kee, Anthony Brown & Group Therapy, Jessica Reedy, VaShawn Mitchell, Earnest Pugh, Isaac Carree, Tasha Cobbs and many more! In addition, the “New Artist” showcase series is back by popular demand and will be held during the afternoon session during the week.

 

Another highlight of this spirit filled week will be the “Nightly Youth Musicals” featuring some of today’s hippest and emerging gospel artists from across the country, which will include: Joshua Rogers, Alexis Speight, Charles Butler & Trinity & JJ Hairston, just to name a few. All of the aforementioned musical events will take place at the Duke Energy Convention Center. Culminating the week will be a very special concert paying tribute to Dr. Charles Fold, featuring some of today’s greatest gospel artists. This concert will be a commemorative concert honoring GMWA founder, Rev. James Cleveland’s and the legacy of his music.
