Los Angeles, CA–October 22, 2012–Another celeb wedding took place over the weekend when music producer, singer/songwriter, Eric Dawkins said, “I do” to model/actress girlfriend Tish Graves in front of 100 plus family and friends, during an earth-tone garden ceremony at a lavish Woodland Hills, CA home, Sunday, October 21, 2012. Dawkins’ father, Bishop Roy Dawkins, and Elder Warryn Campbell, Sr., officiated the ceremony.
As her groom sang their original engagement song, “It’s Whatever,” Graves elegantly floated down the aisle wearing an Alvina Valenta ivory silk fluted gown with a sweetheart neckline and alencon lace bodice, while Dawkins sported the latest Sean John custom black tux.
After the ceremony the couple danced their first dance to, a live serenade of “I Want You” by Luke James, and guests gathered for a tasty spread including rosemary lemon chicken with citrus buerre blanc, beef short ribs, mixed greens with goat cheese, candied pecans, and pears in a balsamic vinaigrette with garlic vegetables and mashed potatoes for sides, and a signature surprise beverage.
The couple opted out of a traditional wedding cake, and instead had their favorite cake from Sara J Pastry: custom, three tier, three flavor cake with fruit and cream center, chocolate trio, and tiramisu.
Event coordinator Sandra Campbell, who coordinated NBA player Quentin Richardson and Miya Manuel’s bridal shower, and baby showers for both sisters of the award-winning duo Mary Mary, planted the seed by introducing the couple in 2008 but It wasn’t until 2010 that the couple started dating officially. “It was an honor to coordinate this wedding, and I am elated to see this relationship flourish into matrimony,” said Campbell.
Because the couple did not want their special day to be a “Hollywood” event they invited select celebrity friends including Tyrese, Tamar Braxton and super producer husband Vincent Herbert, WE TV’s multi-award winning duo Mary Mary, multi-award winning music producer Warryn Campbell, Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer Dayna Caddell, PJ Morton of Maroon 5, NAACP-nominated composer Elvin Ross, multi-award songwriter/producer LaShawn Daniels, and Shelea Frazier who appropriately performed “Love Fell On Me” from the film ‘Jumpin’ The Broom.’
Eric Dawkins has worked with the Justin Bieber, Tyrese, Christina Aguilera, Mary Mary and R. Kelly to name a few. Tish Graves has graced the pages of Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmo, Essence, etc., and can be seen in TV commercial campaigns as McDonalds, Tide, Aveeno, Diet Pepsi, Lincoln, and more.
As for the honeymoon the groom’s publicist, Phyllis Caddell-M, tells us that he will surprise his bride with their destination-somewhere far away for much needed R & R.
Congratulations to Tish and Eric!
