EMERGING ARTIST VONTE SIMON MAKES HIS MARK AT ROOT MAGAZINE’S 15TH ANNIVERSARY AND ON STELLAR BLUE CARPET
Las Vegas, NV – Friday, July 26, 2024 – Gospel Music’s biggest night, the 39th Annual Stellar Awards, took place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV and reunited the a bevy of gospel music artists from across the world. Emerging artist, Vonte Simon, topped off his Stellar week with performances at Urban Soul Cafe’s “Denim and White” Indie Showcase as one of the featured artists. Simon also shared the Root 15 stage alongside artists, Melvin Crispell III, Zacardi Cortez, Kierra Sheard, Zak Williams and 1/Akord, Kim Burrell and others. Simon’s Stellar week was capped off as he walked the famed Blue Carpet for the main event, connecting with major media outlets from across the country. A native of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Vonte’s musical journey is deeply rooted in his personal experiences, making his work resonate profoundly with listeners.
From humble beginnings, Vonte has navigated life’s challenges, including battles with anxiety and depression. Despite the support of his loving family, he found his true solace in uplifting others through music.
