Former R&B recording artist Lamont Sanders is returning back to the music scene — but this time with a different tune. The mentor, singer, and songwriter has been intentional about dedicating his gifts to God and is excited about all that has transpired.
Recently finishing up his southern radio tour in Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, and Columbus, Lamont has been visiting radio stations to let everyone across the airwaves know the compelling message behind his current single, “Whatever It Takes.” Written and produced by Gerald and Tammi Haddon (Awesome God) and KJ Scriven (Nothing Without You), the song mixes memorable lyrics with a catchy rhythm. The lyrics simply state, “You alone are worthy, only You deserve it, My heart, my mind, my soul, my life…..whatever it takes, we gon’ praise You!”
Upon hearing Lamont’s single, Percy Davis, Program Manager at WOAD-AM in Jackson, MS even had this to say about the singer:

More than just a mantra, Lamont hopes this is the beginning of a movement. “The song came from a verse in the Bible – 2 Timothy 1:7. That let me know that we should pursue life and people.” Lamont says, “Don’t let insecurity or jealousy hold you back from being passionate. With the Living God on your side, you are powerful.”
This mindset has also transcended into his personal life, as Lamont has been putting his best foot forward in health and fitness, recently losing a total of 45 pounds in 4 months! Lamont is documenting his progress with gym shots on Instagram in between studio sessions, “Pursuing The Lord and chasing after His heart is the beginning to a wonderful life of boldness.”
The new album, “He’s A Keeper” digitally releases April 20, 2018. In preparation for the release, Lamont is gearing up to host a private listening session in Las Vegas during the 2018 Stellar Gospel Music Awards as well as performing at the 4th Annual United in Song Concert on Thursday, March 22nd.
For those who cannot attend the West Coast Awards, Lamont hosts weekly digital listening parties every Monday evening on Facebook Live and Instagram Live at 8pm EST. There he plays one song and discusses the album.
